The UHPSA hold events for the students of the Honors Program, including socials, volunteering opportunities, workshops and more to promote engagement and social awareness within our community.

Yes! Elections for an executive board position are held in April/May each Spring semester. If you are interested in running, please attend the info session about the executive board positions that is usually held in April, and more instructions will be given there. If you would like to be involved but are not looking for a board position, you can become a member at large. Just come to one of our executive board meetings (held every Wednesday at 5PM in USU-204!) and let us know you'd like to get involved. Members at large help the executive board plan and hold events, attend board meetings, and get a foot in the door in what it is like to be on the board and hold a leadership position.

Get involved! Each year we host a General Meeting, that is designed for any and all Honors students to come and meet the board and get a feel for what we do. In fact, all of the UHPSA executive board meetings are open to Honors students, so if you would like to become a member at large, have suggestions for events, or would just like to see what it's like to be on the board, contact us to find out when and where our meetings are and join us!

Unless otherwise noted, all UHPSA events count for honors event credit.

At any Honors event, there will be a sign-in sheet. Do not leave the event unless you have signed in. Some events, there is also a sign-out procedure required to get event credit, so be sure to ask the person running the event if you also need to sign-out. You must stay for the entire event to receive credit, and the board members, as well as the Honors staff, reserve the right to cross your name off of the sign-in sheet if they see you leave early, denying you credit. If you must leave an event early, please notify the person hosting the event at the beginningof the event.

There are so many reasons to be involved with UHPSA! As a board member or Member at Large, you will gain valuable leadership experience, learn new skills and meet new people! We have leadership opportunities all fields, including event planning, web design, finance, management, photography and more! There is a fit for everybody.
